NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti owners complain of defects

Cards are dying in alarming numbers

With the recently released RTX Turing graphics cards, NVIDIA has added the most powerful consumer GPUs ever made. These cards support new gaming visual features like deep learning supersampling (DLSS) and ray tracing. Both cards are available since few weeks and several users are now facing to crashes, black screens, blue screen of death, artifacts and cards that fail to work entirely.

Digital Trends reported this week that several RTX 2080Ti customers on NVIDIA's support forum and Reddit have complained about various issues with their graphics cards. At the moment isn't clear what could be the problem behind these reports. According to latest informations, the issues aren't limited to the RTX 2080Ti Founders Edition card but some users have issues with NVIDIA's AIB partners as well.

Since the problem is on almost every card, the cause might be hidden underlying Turing architecture or some driver/firmware issue. NVIDIA is trying to figure out what could be the issue and at the moment the company is sending prepaid shipping label for cards that need RMA.
