Cooler Master unveils the ControlPad

On Kickstarter

Cooler Master has unveiled an interesting new numeric keypad accessory on Kickstarter. The device sports 24 mechanical keys (available with Cherry MX Red or Gateron Red switches), two precision scroll wheels up top and a full RGB backlit. Furthermore it comes with a removable wrist rest.

According to Cooler Master, the ControlPad is "a passion project from the ground up". What's interesting about this little device is the fact that the keypad is that provides analogue control. Each of the 24 mechanical keys is pressure sensitive and they can detect the gradual pressure being applied and translate that into onscreen action or control. This feature can be very useful in several games.

Cooler Master hasn't limited its ControlPad to gamers, it will be available for content creators, musicians and more. For example if you spend a lot of time on Adobe Photoshop, with the Cooler Master ControlPad you could apply different levels of pressure to change the thickness, brush size and other tools.

This is definitely an interesting concept and if you want know more about you can find the Kickstarter page below.
