Gigabyte teases Aorus RTX 2080 and 2080Ti graphics cards

First custom RTX cards from Gigabyte

With the Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2080 and 2080Ti, the company adds two high-end graphics cards to their AORUS line. Both cards are supposed to perform excellently and they might pack some substantial factory overclocks.

Gigabyte has released the first teaser regarding its upcoming GeForce RTX 20-series cards. According to the pictures, they appear to be quite similar to the Aorus GTX models. The cooler used on the Aorus RTX 2080 and 2080Ti Extreme is an improved version of the WINDFORCE Stack Cooling module which can be found on several Gigabyte graphics cards. The card features a triple slot heatsink and a dense aluminum fin stack that has been combined with three fans. The entire cooler has been kept in black and there might be a solid back plate presenting the Aorus logo - which we cannot see on the images.

Since all the latest Gigabyte Aorus products have been equipped with an armada of LEDs for RGB lighting, also on this graphics card there are several LEDs on both sides. Like on the previous model, the Aorus RTX 20-series Extreme might come with premium-grade chokes and capacitors for an increased lifespan. Although the folks over at Techpowerup didn't mention any details about the clocks, we believe that both models will ship overclocked from the factory. In the past the Extreme series graphics cards from Gigabyte always featured substantial factory overclocks and we don’t believe there is going to be anything different in the case of this generation.

As of today there is no date available when this card will hit the shelves of your local retailer.
