be quiet! Pure Base 600 Review

A few months after be quiet! launched their Silent Base 600, and now the company is already introducing a new mid-tower case going by the name Pure Base 600. Although the manufacturer is rather new to the case business, the Pure Base 600 appears to be a good and reasonalby priced mid-range case. Although this case doesn’t belong to the Silent series, there is even soundproofing material.

Almost one year ago be quiet! unveiled the Silent Base 600 case, which was their first mid-tower enclosure. Now there is a new mid-tower case from the German vendor which is more budget-oriented. Itโ€™s a mid-tower that is compatible with high-end components and apart from that itโ€™s highly modular. Compared to the Silent Base 600, we find a similar, sleek design and high-quality materials. Although the new case is a little bit smaller, there is more space available on the inside.

First of all the Pure Base 600 measures 220 x 445 x 492mm at a net weight of 7Kg, while the Silent Base 600 measured 495 x 230 x 496mm with a net weight of almost 8Kg. Both models are compatible with ATX motherboards and high-end graphics cards. Furthermore both have been equipped with several HDD sledges, yet the new one has space for no less than eight SSDs. This is thanks to the fact that the sledges can now be equipped with two 2.5″ drives.

Also on the cooling side be quiet! has changed a lot. While the Silent Base 600 was only compatible with mid-range water cooling components, the new Pure Base 600 can be equipped with up to one 360mm radiator or two 240mm.
