These days, Bitcoin is experiencing another hype as currently the price for 1BTC skyrocketed to a whopping $2'460 US. That means the value of one Bitcoin tripled within just a few weeks. As it always is with Bitcoin mining a big hype kicks in when the exchange rate explodes - as it just did. A few weeks ago we have seen rumors about upcoming mining GPUs and maybe rather sooner than later NVIDIA is going to introduce something that is geared towards that purpose.

Dell has expanded its InfinityEdge series with a new monitor which features a 38-inch panel and 3440 x 1440 resolution. Furthermore the monitor comes with a KVM switch and USB Type-C port. According to Dell the display covers 99 percent of the Adobe RGB and sRGB color spectrum and a few other color standards.

During Computex 2017, Fractal Design has shown several PC cases and we are going to do a quick roundup of all the products. Fractal has recently released the Focus G series and during Computex they have shown different colors like white, red and gunmetal grey, moving away from the traditional black design. Furthermore the manufacturer has presented the Celsius liquid cooling kits.

Toshiba announced their Tecra X40 notebook, which is based on the 7th generation of Intel Core processors and a 14-inch 1920 x 1080 multi-touch display. The Tecra X40 is supposed to offer 13 hours of battery life. In addition to the standard configurations, Toshiba will also offer a wide variety of build-to-order options.

Alienware has expanded its monitor lineup with another model, featuring a 25-inch VA panel with 1920 x 1080 FullHD resolution. The grey-to-grey response time is 1ms and the refresh rate is up to 240Hz. Apart from that this monitor will be available with either Nvidia G-Sync (AW2518H) or AMD FreeSync, (AW2518HF) support built-in.

During Computex 2017, Cooler Master has shown several PC cases and we are going to do a quick roundup of all the products. Next to the redesigned Cosmos and HAF cases, Cooler Master has unveiled three models based on the new MasterBox Q series. While the first two models are mid-towers, the MasterBox Q series comes with a smaller footprint.
Four SKUs to begin with
A few weeks ago AMD announced their Ryzen Threadripper series of processors. As we all know meanwhile these chips will feature even more cores than the currently available Ryzen 7 CPUs and on top of that they will be based on a new AMD high-end desktop platform. According to the latest rumors AMD is to launch RYZEN Threadripper on July 27th.
Flagship models expected for October
During the pre-show days at the PC Gaming Show E3, Intel has revealed the launch date for its Core X series of CPUs. The first Kaby Lake-X and Skylake-X chips will go on pre-order by June 19 and the first units are going to be shipped the following week. At launch everything from the four core Core i5-7640K chip all the way up to the ten core Core i9-7900X processor is going to be available.

This is especially true when we’re looking at gaming peripherals. Nevertheless, today appears to be one of those very rare days to be surprised.

Samsung has expanded its curved monitor lineup with three new monitors featuring a 49-inch, a 32-inch and a 27-inch panel. The first monitor is based on a rather unusual 3840 x 1080 resolution, while the two others feature WQHD 2560 x 1440 pixel. Furthermore each one of the displays supports AMD FreeSync 2 which allows to communicate with your PC to share colour space information, brightness values and not only the variable refresh rate informations.
Performance improvements for DiRT 4
NVIDIA has released yet another updated driver. Meanwhile the version number is 382.53 and it brings performance improvements to DiRT 4 and Nex Machina. Furthermore this driver adds new SLI profiles for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, Little Nightmares, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Transformers Online.
