First HEDT Phantom Gaming motherboard

ASRock has unveiled their X399 Phantom Gaming 6 motherboard, which is one of the vendors first models designed for AMD Threadripper CPUs. As you might know, the Phantom Gaming 6 branding should replace the well known Fatal1ty series.

To show off ray tracing

Battlefield V's performance with NVIDIA RTX effects enabled has created plenty of heated discussions during the last few days. If you're still wondering if the Turing cards are worth it or not, NVIDIA is making things a tiny little bit easier since the company now includes a copy of the ray tracing capable Battlefield V game in the bundle of their RTX cards.

With Ryzen PCs

HTC confirmed that there is a compatibility issue with its Vive VR headset and Ryzen PCs, but at the moment they’re not entirely certain what exactly is causing the problem. If you are facing some issues with your AMD system, you can request a refund if you don't want to wait for HTC to figure things out.

With a limited number of GPUs

The Seasonic Focus Plus power supply unit sells pretty well due to its good performance and affordable price. However when something is sold in such high numbers some issue can emerge considering the large number of users that are using the unit. Seasonic has released a statement saying it has been notified about some issues when a Focus PSU is used alongside with certain GPUs.

Soon available

Several European hardware retailers have listed Samsung's upcoming 860 QVO (Quality and Value Oriented) SSD on their online stores. The 860 QVO is the first SSD based on QLC (quad-level cell) NAND from Samsung.

Based on microATX form factor

A couple of days ago, we have a received some goodies from our top secret hardware dealer. Alongside with the MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard, we have found the MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge AC as well. With this motherboard, MSI adds a high-end microATX model to their mainstream portfolio.

Even better looking

The Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon from MSI is a mid-range motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. Compared to the previous model, which goes by the name Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon, we see a similar color scheme - as the name suggests - but a reworked layout and a new design for all the heatsinks. Although the design has been improved, we still see cheap plastic covers all over the motherboard.

With a vague statement

The GeForce RTX 2080Ti has been available for a few weeks and numerous users are facing crashes, black screens, blue screens of death, artifacts and cards that fail to work entirely. NVIDIA is acknowledging issues and they have posted a small statement in their official forums.

Fast and questionably eye catching

If Ferrero Rocher and Swarovski decided to combine their design, the result wouldn't differ much from what G.Skill has come up with in the case of the Trident Z Royal memory kits. As we all know design is a highly subjective topic and at least it’s very hard to argue with the fact that these memory kits come with up to 128GB capacity and the clock speeds are up to 4600MHz.

Gigabyte has unveiled their X399 Aorus Pro motherboard, which is one of the vendors first models designed for the second generation of AMD Threadripper CPUs. As you might know, the Aorus Pro branding is placed between what was the Gaming 3 and the Gaming 5. They were the most affordable socket TR4 motherboards with a solid ratio between quality and price.

If you have been saving up for PC upgrades, then you might be happy to know that there are some really good deals on Amazon. Black Friday deals are already starting and Amazon has reduced the price of Samsung 970 M.2 EVO SSD.

According to the latest report from DigiTimes several Taiwanese vendors are facing declining sales. The list of issues includes supply shortage of Intel’s 14nm CPUs, low demand from cryptocurrency miners and, the U.S.-China trade dispute. These factors will continue to affect the suppliers through the first half of 2019.

SK hynix announced that it has developed the industry's first DDR5 DRAM chips which meet JEDEC standards. The new 16 Gigabits DDR5 chip is built on the same 10nm process technology that has been developed for 8Gb DDR4 chips.

In the case of their new RX 590 graphics card AMD has come up with a juice game bundle. The new cards based on the RX 590 will come with no less than three AAA titles in the box, which are Devil May Cry 5, The Division 2 and Resident Evil 2 Remake.

During the past few weeks, there have been plenty of rumors surrounding the upcoming AMD RX 590 graphics card. The latest addition to the polaris family has now been launched and compared to the RX 580 series the GPU is now made using a 12nm node process.

First G2 Esports branded monitor

AOC has expanded its monitor lineup with another model, featuring a 24.5-inch TN panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution. The grey-to-grey response time is 1ms and the refresh rate 144Hz. Apart from that this monitor sports built-in AMD Freesync support.
